Will My Mum Get Chemo With Stage Ii Breast Cancer?
My mom was recently told she had grade 2 Breast Cancer. After surgery, doctors told her that her lymph nodes were not infected and the cancer was fully removed.
She’s meeting with an oncologist this week to decide future treatment, but she is worried about getting chemotherapy due to the side effects of losing her hair.
Is it likely she will get chemotherapy and what is the standard dosage?
Thanks to everyone who helps

Since her lymph nodes weren’t effected and it doesn’t seem like it spread to any place in her body, she probably won’t get chemo. But it’s really up the doctors.

Whether or not she receives chemo is up to her. You state she has stage 2 breast cancer and later state it is grade 2 breast cancer, is it both? The oncologist will recommend chemo based on the tumor size, the kind of cancer she has, the grade, her age and her hormone receptor status. Chemo is often recommended in cases with no lymph node involvement.
