They (the big cosmetic company) are selling an illusion of youth and beauty! It’s all about marketing and some big special new ingredients. Depending of your age/finance their markets analysis shows there is a consumer willing to dish out that kind of money.
When you enter the world of make-up in your teens…you will buy what’s affordable for you by your thirties money is better and by your forties it’s even more expensive…
The good news is by the time you reach your fifties you’ve learn it’s not worth it and you go back buying the make-up brand you bought when you were in your teens.

bandwagon mentality. if 10 women saw Angelina Jolie in a commercial of a beauty cream, mostly, 7 out of 10 would buy the product just because of Jolie’s presence. they’d be like, “hey, Angelina’s using it, so I’m using it too!” get my drift?
