its over fast…the first one hurts a little when the chemical is injected into the muscle..its a bit of a sting and a little throb..a bit like if you pinched a nerve….the second one hurts a little more then the first…and the third hurt a little more then that…the pain is not unbearable and it should not bug you to much pain wise afterwards…it will be a tiny bit more tender in the area after your seconds one…i did find the second one made me itchy in the area…but that went away within a few hours.. the needle itself feels like any other needle…a tiny pinch…its the stuff being injected that hurts…

Okay, so you’ve probably had it by now.
But for anybody else who is going to have it and is reading this, don’t worry.
I was worrying loads before that it was really going to hurt. I hate needles too, which didn’t help.
But, I had it today, and it doesn’t hurt at all as they inject you. You feel a couple of sharp twinges as the needle goes in and out, and it does feel a bit weird as they inject you, but it’s fine. It just feels like when somebody gentley pokes you with a sharp pencil. I actually didn’t realise that the nurse had finish for ages. ;D
Right now, my arm aches a bit. If I try to raise it too high, then it hurts, but it’s not unbearable, and if you think about something else then you hardly realise. Feels kind of like somebodies stuck a weight at the top of my arm.
Lots of people do seem to either be over-reacting or have it a lot worse than I do. I rubbed it a lot afterwards and moved it around a lot straight afterwards, which is what my nurse told me to do. Not everybody got this advice, but the people who took it seem to be a lot better off.
Good luck, and remember, it’s really nothing to worry about!
(I was told that it hurts about as much as when you pinch yourself really hard, but the pinching is a lot more painful than the actual jab. ;D You’ll hardly notice it’s being done, honest.)

it’s no biggy fats and painless, you have one, then another in two months, and the last one 6 months after the first one

It just like your MMR jag – you soon forget about it but are protected for the future.
