I don’t know about percentages, but Stage 2 is considered early stage. There are so many treatments available to us and there are many survivors, even in later stage cancers. I was diagnosed stage 2B breast cancer last February. I had mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiation, ovaries/total hysterectomy, Herceptin treatments (almost done!!) and on Femera (my cancer was estrogen positive as well as Her2/neu positive). It was a challenging year, but I feel good and remain positive and hopeful. Hang in there, take it one day/treatment at a time, and stay strong. My mother-in-law had Stage 2 and had the tumor removed with no chemo. About 5 years later, Stage 3 in the other breast. Had a masectomy, and lymph nodes removed, but still no chemo. Now, another 7 years later she is still cancer free. I wouldn’t recommend refusing chemo. This was just her choice (she was about 65 the first time). Breast cancer is no longer a death sentence like it once was. I think your chances are very good. Good luck to you and I wish you the very best.

I am coming up on the 4th anniversary of being diagnosed with Stage II Breast Cancer. I had a partial mastectomy, chemo and radiation. My oncologist reassured me that Stage II Breast Cancer is very treatable.
My sister is a 14 year survivor. My aunt has had it twice. My best friend is a 7 year survivor and her mom had it 3 times and died at the age of 80 of an unrelated cause.

my grandma’s breast cancer was caught in stage three. they didn’t think that she was going to make it. however, after radiation, chemo, and a double masectomy the cancer was gone. she ended up being diagonosed with kidney cancer, and recently has non-hodgekins lymphoma. while she is doing fine (she is on her last dose of chemo and heading into radiation) she said that the biggest help for her was positive thinking. if you give up, you won’t beat it, no matter how much treatment you get. also, pray. i hope everything goes well for you. god bless

there is always a chance but i would go thru chemo and radiation i was diagnosed in nov 07 and talked it over with my boss and she said her mother in law chose radiation only because she did not want to loose her hair and it spread to her bones and she died 5 yrs later. i know that it seems hard but chemo really is not that bad and had a double mastectomy and thats not bad either. i have life it sounds like your trying to do the right stuff for the best survival i wish u luck and always have a positive attitude it really does help

well my mom had breast cancer in the lowest/earliest stage and got chemo, radiation, and a masectomy.
after 3 years of being cancer free, it came back in her liver.
i think it just all depends on you and our doctor.

and even after you get all this done remember to get keep getting checked

I can say from a spiritual stand point that you can be healed and your survival will be the life span that God gave you. Do you know that there is power in the name of Jesus Christ? do you know that the same resurrectional power that raised Jesus from the dead is in a born again believer? yes, it is….and, I just happen to be a born again believer who has a gift of healing from God thru his holy spirit…I pray in Jesus name that those stripes that Jesus took on his back for our healing be applied to you thru, my words, and, i ask Jesus Christ of Nazareth to give you hope, give you peace, give you strength and an understanding of what this prayer is and what it means, and and understanding that you accept Jesus, and what he did on that cross for you…

there are a lot of important factors that go into that so your actual oncologist could give you a far better answer than anyone here (nobody could really give you an accurate answer), but its probably pretty decent, like someone above said stage 2 is fairly local.

I was diagnosed with stage II breast cancer in 2000, had a mastectomy and chemo at that time. I’m still here.
