There isn’t a cure, but surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and, if appropriate, hormone therapy can put you into remission. They have me; I am fit and well four years after being diagnosed with grade 3 stage 3 breast cancer – I had surgery, chemo and rads.
In response to Steve’s answer: I was a vegan (no meat or any other animal products) who ate organic, plenty of veg and fruit and raw stuff, and got breast cancer anyway. It’s always people who haven’t had cancer who sound off like that. There isn’t a secret, hidden cure. If there were:
*whoever discovered it would be keeping quiet, even though it would bring them fame and fortune
*every medical professional in the whole world would have agreed to keep the secret. Every single one.
*all of the thousands of people who would have to have been cured by it in order to prove it worked would be keeping quiet about it too
*doctors, scientist, researchers etc would be watching their relatives die and dying themselves (they and their families develop cancer at the same rate as the rest of the population) even though they knew of a cure
You can get more information about the persistent urban myth that a secret cure exists here:http://www.quackwatch.org/01QuackeryRela…http://health.discovery.com/centers/canc…
EDIT:** Not quite sure what you’re suggesting Steve F; are you implying that I’m not telling the truth about being vegan? If it doesn’t fit with your theories it must be a lie? And I wasn’t taking any drugs. In fact I was a bit of an ‘alternatives’ freak myself before I got cancer and really researched them.
The anecdotes you supply are just that, anecdotes. The plural of anecdote is not data. My father survived for 47 years after conventional treatment, but my telling you that proves nothing. What does prove something are the randomised double-blind clinical trials that have proved such treatments to be effective; we know chemo and radiotherapy save some lives and extend many others.
Stephen Barrett MD who started Quackwatch has been the victim of a sustained libel campaign by promoters of all kinds of quackery since 1999. You can read his robust responses on the site.
Have you had cancer yourself, Steve?
Hi Sweetie,
I haven’t heard of a cure per-say, however they r trying new meds out 4 patients, that more & more Women are getting great results with in Conquering this decease. My Aunt had it 10 yrs. & passed away 3 Christmas’s ago. However, there r more Breast Cancer Survivor’s to-date, than I’ve seen in a long time! Strange enough, I hear of more Men getting it, which is very difficult for them to except, embarrassing the old cliche’, you know what I mean? It’s hard enough to get em to the Dr.’s for a Prostate Exam, let a lone a mammogram!
I hope they did come out with a cure, God know’s how long we’ve been waiting, Forever!!! All My Best toYou & r Endeavors
LOL, Diana D
Known preventative and reversible measures are diet related. There’s no drug that cures a disease. Drugs only address symptoms. Eat as many raw fruits and vegetables as possible, and stay away from meat or as much meat as possible. See http://www.pcrm.org/. Non-western countries don’t have near the occurrance as we have here, so I guess that means there is a cure. It’s largely behavioral in nature, and it starts with diet. Leafy greens and reduction of toxins/poisons in the form of drugs help. Also, radiating your breasts with annual mammograms is probably NOT the best idea. Doesn’t radiation cause free radicals, which fosters the development of cancer? See the opposite of the breast cancer awareness “program” at http://www.newstarget.com/022107.html and http://www.bcaction.org/ or any GOOD naturopathic doctor.
Do you really think the American Cancer Society wants to eliminate cancer when they are the richest non-profit in the world and when they are funded by big pharma? You know, the same big pharma that *profits* from your sickness. Something is wrong with this picture and it’s called CONFLICT OF INTEREST. Yes, it bothers me. And, yes, there’s a “cure” but it doesn’t exist “officially.”
In response to the quackwatch reference, you need to see http://www.canlyme.com/quackwatch.html. The guy that runs the quackwatch site is in fact a quack and fraud himself. That should tell you something.
In regard to getting cancer on a vegan diet, that is extremely rare and my question is why would someone get cancer when they are eating non-cancer causing substances? Were they exposed to other poisons (what drugs were you taking?) or toxins or what else were they eating?
If you are serious about both preventing and reversing cancer, it’s entirely doable. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. I’m not profiting off people’s disease by the way, in fact I don’t work in the health field at all. My wife is an ND though. I’m convinced that education is key to understanding how to sustain yourself, without meds, because most all of them are poisons. I believe it was also Linus Pauling that found cells go anaerobic when they are cut off from an air supply, most of the time because of a fatty deposit. If you’re overweight or just plain fat, your risk for developing cells that mutate and go anaerobic goes up obviously. His research has been squashed.
There’s billions of dollars in the health care industry that are spent and paid to many for cancer related illnesses. There will be tension and many will fight to keep the status quo. All while thousands die. And there will be those who will try to discredit people like me for saying different.
Is there a cure? Sure there is. My wife’s grandmother was diagnosed by an MD with pancreatic cancer and was told she had 3 months to live. She had a cat scan to verify it. Four years later she’s alive and well. Another cat scan showed the tumor was gone. Why? She refused their treatment and went all natural. And not just vegetarian. We’re talking an extreme diet of juicing and regular organic coffee enemas (that cause the liver to release lots of antioxidants and cause a good cleanse). Like the diet from http://www.hacres.com. Yes, they’re listed on quackwatch by the fraudulent guy that runs that site. And yes, they have thousands of testimonials by people that cured cancer. Is there a cure? Sure there is.
There’s several medical doctors that have gone to preaching the benefits of a plant-based diet. Dr. Michael Klapper, Dr. Dean Ornish, Dr. Joel Fuhrman. But they get a lot of resistance as being freaks or quacks based on what they’ve found. But it’s interesting to also read about the results they’ve helped their patients/clients achieve. Check those guys out. I think Dean and Joel are members of the pcrm.org group (that’s the Physician’s Committe for Responsble Medicine), along with others. I believe they got tired of the traditional, broken health care plan in the US. Also check out T. Colin Campbell’s The China Study at http://www.thechinastudy.com/.
Dean’s work is interesting. I believe his focus is on heart disease and with a plant-based diet he’s helping a lot of people lose weight, get off drugs, eliminate hypertension and just about remove the potential for a heart attack.
In the past 10 years, there’s been approximately 20 people on various church prayer lists in my area that had cancer and went the traditional medical route of bombarding their bodies with surgery and radiation drugs. 100% of them HAD cancer, that’s right, they’re all dead now. I don’t know of one that survived the “treatment.” 2 others are still alive. One is my wife’s grandmother that goes to church with us that went all natural. Another adopted largely the same diet that had leukemia (blood cancer). Both are alive and well today. My experience has been 100% failure of those I know about with the medical route and 100% success with a diet-related approach. Those are not fabricated numbers, and I can give you names. Which do you think I have faith in?
Is there a cure? Sure there is. There’s just not many people that will admit it or know about it. Just because you don’t know about something doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Trust me, there’s a cure because thousands have experienced it. It’s just extremely difficult to filter out the truth in a corrupt industry bent on keeping the status quo.
Is there a cure? Sure there is.
There is no cure for cancer. There are ways to control it and get you into remission, but there is no cure. The harsh reality is that once you’ve had cancer it can come back at any time in your life.
I have been involved one way or another with family members with breast cancer, friends with breast cancer both females as well as males, worked with the American Cancer Society for over 20 years I know of NO CURE for Breast Cancer
I don’t think there is an actual cure yet….they have come up with different ways to treat it with radiation and chemo and new drugs….hopefully they will find the cure for all cancers soon…..it sucks!!

I am not a champion of using drugs for cures because they aren’t designed to cure anything. Try this site though:
