My girlfriend (non-smoker) is an RN working at the local Hospital.
She has health insurance (BCBS) through her employer.
For an individual her cost is $30.00 per month with a $400.00 deductible.
Cost will vary depending upon how much the employer pays, deductible, insurance provider, coverage offered, etc.

Your occupation has nothing to do with it. Your age and state of residence would.
An average tells you nothing — I could stick one hand in boiling water and one in ice water and ‘on average’ they’d be comfortable.
Get an insurance broker and get the actual cost because that makes more sense (just like not sticking your hand in boiling water).
You can also try the insurance pricing tool on my homepage. It gives the prices of different insurance companies and works in many (but not all) states and also requires no personal information to use.
(Community guidelines state, even though no link is provided, that it’s OK to accompany a good, on-topic answer with a link to your website, blog, or email to offer more information.)
