Generally those with twins have more likelihood of having twins again. Some people are also genetically predisposed to having twins (based on the baby's mom - dad has no effect). Either they have weak eggs that split or more commonly they release more than one egg each time. It has never happened to anyone I know but it does definately happen. The girls were premmature and died.
