Figure out exactly what you want to get - and where you want to get it - and wait 6 months. If in six monthls you really want to same tatoo in the same spot, get it. If your opinion has changed obviously you aren't commited enough to the tatoo and have no business getting it yet. If you are going to have this tatoo forever, 6 months is not too long to put off getting one.

Take the money you would have spent on the tattoo and donate it to the American Cancer Society. That way you'll actually be doing something that will aid in finding a cure.

If you've had a close encounter with the disease, sure. It is a great symbol to display your strength.
If not, use that money to donate to a cancer research foundation.

Ok, this is definatly one of those questions that you cannot get the answer from anyone but YOU! If you do take someone elses suggestion, wether its yes or know or even where to get it, later on down the line you have a huge chance of completely hating it and ending up with the horrible feeling of regret. Since you are questioning it to the point of askin bout it online I would say take at least 2 weeks before getting it and think bout the pros, the cons, and your reason behind it. Is it because you know someone that had it? Did you go through that? Do you just support the cause? Are you exspressing something with it? Also you should think bout what you want exatly, do you just want the ribbon? Do you want something a little more elaborete that will exspress more reasoning and meaning behind it? Why were you thinking bout your wrist or ankle? If you get it on your wrist how could that possibly affect future career or job choices. Some employers dont allow any visible tatoos, of any kind. There are many things to think about and from different angles too. I definatly would say to wait a couple weeks before you do something so permenent since you are questioning it.

I would say yes if your or someone close to you has been through that situation. Me and 9 others in my family went in and got the breast cancer ribbon, in memory of my aunt who passed away from it. So if it means something to you then go for it!
