Menopause- Women’s Health, Help Me Please- I Am A 25 Year Old Female?

Hi there. Long story short… This past June I had to have a Hysterectomy at the age of 25 because I have (had) Endometriosis extremely bad. Then 9 weeks later I was still having extreme pain in the ovary area, so they did a CT and it revealed that my left ovary had over a dozen cysts in it. So 4 days later I went in to have my ovary removed. Well they found the Endometriosis has spread to both of my ovaries, not to mention they had been take over by cysts. So they had to remove both. So now I am a 25 year old women who is going through menopause. I am very lucking in that I have 2 beautiful girls, but yet I find myself extremely depressed that I will never again be able to have another child. I don’t know that I wanted more, but it hurts so bad that now I NEVER can. Also, I am lucky that with the menopause I am really only having 2 symptoms; hot flashes (about 2-4 a day) with extreme sweats in the night- I have always been a worm sleeper, but now it is almost unbearable. And 2nd- I am extremely tired. I cannot get enough sleep. I am sleeping anywhere from 8-20 hours and am still tired. So it isn’t that I am getting too much sleep, or not enough. Does anyone have any advice for all of this? I know it’s alot to take in. Oh, and I cannot go on Estrogen. I had a DVT (blood clot) last March, so I can NEVER go on Estrogen. So I need other options, other than this. Thanks to you all.

Since you can’t take estrogen make sure you eat a lot of dark greens veggies this will help the night sweats and hot flashes. I know what you are going through since I had a total hysterectomy when I was 30 yrs old. Also Eat or drink two servings of soy a day. Soy foods will take 4 to 6 weeks to show an effect. Eat lots of fruit these seem to be the ones that help the most plums, prunes, strawberries, apples, tomatoes, pears, grapes, grapefruit, oranges and red rasberries
Veggies. sparagus, beets, bell peppers, broccoli stems, cabbage, cauliflower, carrots, cucumbers, lettuce, onions, soybeans, sweet potatoes, turnips and Wheat. Eat more beans, Drink more juices that are 100% like Grape, carrot and orange. Last but not least make sure you get a lot of calcium in your diet so you don’t end up with bone issues.. Hope this helps.

Umm.. be grateful you have kids! And be thankful you don’t have to use condoms anymore. Well just pray that you’ll get better. Everything will be better. Sorry children if you had to read this..

Hey… sorry to hear about all the stuff you’re going through – I’m 25 and I can’t imagine being in your place :*(
My mom swore that hormone therapy didn’t do ANYTHING for her symptoms (she went through about 10 years of menopause!). She did swear by the OTC suppliments, you can get like 15 days worth in a box, it’s all pre-mixed for you. There are several varities on the market, so if one doesn’t work, there are others. She also said to cut the caffeine until the hot flashes pass. Other than that, it sucks. She also found herself putting on weight, so it’s worth it to try and exercise (besides, exercising ups your metabolism, which might help with the being tired…)
I know it’s not really the time to think about it, but you ARE only 25. When you’re feeling better, you could always look into adoption. I know that it’s not the same as carrying a child that’s your own but there are sooo many children out there that need a loving mommy…. and so few women that want them… Like I said, I know now isn’t the time, but later, it might be worth looking into.
    Good luck

Same thing happen to me…I have 3 girls and yes I wanted another one, I was looking for the boy. I feel very lucky with my 3 girls.
Yes menopause lasts for a long time….hot flashes and being tired all the time. And I can’t find anything to help me out! I guess just be patient and learn how to live with it…it takes time I know :-(
