At age 15 it is much more likely your pain is puberty or hormone related than cancer related. Here is what the NIH has to say about breast pain. “Breast pain is NOT a common symptom of cancer”. Read more here.http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/…

It is possible to get breast cancer, although the risk is increased with age and in people with a family history of breast cancer. Even if you don’t have a family history of breast cancer, you should get any lumps checked out. It may just be a PMS thing. Many girls/women will sometimes get a lump in their breast or tenderness around that time of the month.

It is very unlikely so don’t worry. Having said that PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE go to the doctors. It is not as embarrassing as you think it’ll be… trust me I have had doctors see me completely naked…. well more than one so honestly its not that bad. PLEASE go you’ll be relieved when you’ve been. Take care and if there is one thing you do whilst reading all these answers just take the advice and go to see your GP. TAke care. love Seren xxx

It is possible, but it’s unlikely. The best thing for you to do is to tell your mom, even if it’s awkward, and have it checked out. I don’t think that’s normal, and it never hurts to get checked out. Think of what you’ll feel like if it is cancer and it continues to develop because you didn’t want to feel stupid seeming like a fool and going to the doctor for nothing. It could be dangerous even if it isn’t cancer, or it could be nothing. If your breasts aren’t fully developed you might be experiencing tenderness there.

It’s very unlikely to be cancer – at 15 you’re breasts are still growing and you do get little bumps and pains in them at times but these will go away as you get older (I used to get them too, n still do sometimes!). But if it’s not gone in a week or so you should spk to your dr just incase – you can ask to see a female dr and she will have patients comming in all the time with the same worries so don’t worry at all about going to the appointment. But anyway don’t panic just yet! Hope you’re ok xxx

It is very rare at that age, but as you get older the risk increases and it increases more if it runs in the family.

Hunny, just stop panicing, your workign your self up over somethign that could be very simple, its very rare for teenagers liek your self to get breast cancer at your age yoru body is still developign and the lump you have found could be a lump of fatty tissue that hasnt developed, every girl gets them but not always notice them and they are 100% safe and non cancerous, if your still worried speak to your gp they will reassure you and if it is anythign to be worried about they will refer you to the breats scannign unit to check upon iyt, once again its very rare for girls your age to develop breats cancer

It is to be frank possible, there is no minimum age. It is however very unlikely! The only way you can be reassured is to go see your GP and get examined.

This could be just part of your normal breast development, I remember having pains and lumps the whole time through pubity.
Are you due your period soon? Most women suffer with breast pain around that time of the month and also alot of tissue swelling too.
The best thing is to make an appointment with your GP as they can put your mind at rest.

Cancer is possible to happen in the young age.
I think you should learn more knowledge about breast cancer.
Pls visit “www.smile.org” which shows you what breast cancer is and the symptoms.
The saftest way is to tell your parents and visit a speciality doctor to have an exam.
The self-exam is also possible as follows:
“1. Lie down. Flatten your right breast by placing a pillow or towel under your right shoulder. Place your right arm behind your head. Examine your right breast with your left hand.
2. Use the pads, not the tips, of the middle three fingers on your left hand. With fingers flat, press gently using a circular, rubbing motion and feel for lumps. In small, dime-sized circles without lifting the fingers, start at the outermost top edge of your breast and spiral in toward the nipple.
3. Press firmly enough to feel the different breast tissues, using three different pressures. First, light pressure to just move the skin without jostling the tissue beneath, then medium pressure pressing midway into the tissue, and finally deep pressure to probe more deeply down to the ribs or to the point just short of discomfort.
4. Completely feel all of the breast and chest area up under your armpit, up to the collarbone, and all the way over to your shoulder to cover breast tissue that extends toward the shoulder.
5. Gently squeeze both nipples and look for discharge.
After you have completely examined your right breast, examine your left breast using the same method with your right hand. You may want to examine your breasts or do an extra exam while showering. It’s easy to slide soapy hands over your skin and to feel anything unusual. You should also check your breasts in a mirror, looking for any change in size or contour, dimpling of the skin, or spontaneous nipple discharge. ”

It’s also possible to be fibroadenomas.
“Fibroadenomas are a type of benign lump most commonly found in younger women. They are usually not removed since they pose no risk. If a fibroadenoma is large, uncomfortable, and produces a lump, it may be removed. In older women, fibroadenomas are generally removed to ensure that they are not malignant tumors. Fibroadenomas do not pose an increased risk of cancer.” (source:www.smile.org.au)
Pls confirm with the specialty doctor.
