Is Eating Fresh Vinagrette Oysters Bad For A Patient With Breast Cancer?

As the above person said, if you are going through treatment, you need to avoid all fish. Any other meat, as well as any fruits or veggies need to be store bought, processed, and FULLY cooked.
The bacteria in these foods can and will cause infections. Not just a small infection that can easily be fixed, but MASSIVE infection that can lead to septic shock and ultimatly death.
I am being a lil blunt here, but it is important to not give your body further oppurtunity to develope infections. Discuss with your doc about your treatment, what your white blood count (especially pertaining to your differential white blood count and if you are neutropenic).
Your doc will have the final recommendations on what you shoudl or should not be eating

If you are on chemotherapy it is suggested that you not eat raw meat or shellfish as your immune system can be compromised leaving you vulnerable for an opportunistic infection. Probably won’t happen, but why take the chance.
