I Tested Negative In My Std Screening But My Pap Came Back Abnormal Should I Be Worried About Cervical Cancer?
You may have something called cervical dysplasia, which means that you have small tissue changes in your cervix. That can be the result of overly enthusiastic sex, among other things. If your doc isn’t worried at this point, then follow his/her lead. Small changes happens at times. you’d have to have massive changes to worry about cancer- but that’s why we get pap smears every year.
Ask your doc about getting the vaccine.

Did they tell you that you had to do anything about it? When I had an abnormal pap the doc told me I had to have a colposcopy, which is where they look at your cervix under a big microscope to see how the cells look. They take a biopsy if anything looks suspicious.
Luckily, mine looked fine and no one could work out why the pap was abnormal. They always come back normal now.
