Could An Uncoupler Be Used To Work For Weight Loss?

Because in theory, uncouplers could be used as weight-reducing drugs. how, in principle, could these substances work for weight loss? what detrimental effects could result from use of these substances?

    It was tried in the 1930s. People died, but their bodies remained warm for hours. The problem is that uncouplers are not focussed, but act in all body systems.
