The symptoms you describe do not necessarily mean it is cancer. However the sooner she gets seen the better just to be on the safe side. Cervical cancer, in answer to your question, does not have to be fatal if caught in time.
    I wish her well.

cramping and bleeding no matter how heavy are not necessarily indicators of cervical cancer, so either your relative or her doctor are perhaps over reacting. I suspect it’s not the doctor. What is going to be done is called a colposcopy, and all they are doing is taking a tissue sample to examine under a microscope to see if they can spot any abnormalities, it’s called being thorough. Do NOT automatically assume the problem is cancer.

yes all types of cancers can be fatal, because cancer rarely stays in one isolated area. it spreads and continues to grow until the point where it is fatal
    early detection is the key

  4. HiddenWe Says:

Any kind of cancer can become fatal. If it is not treated early enough, it will eventually spread into her blood stream, which will kill her.

I’m really sorry for your and your family member’s pain and anxiety.
The best thing is to go to a doctor that she can see sooner.
    Time is the best defense.

If nothing is done about it……yes it is. But if they get treatment soon it wont be fatal!!
