Genetic breast cancer is rare – only 5- 10 percent of breast cancer cases are due to hereditary factors.
For your grandmother’s breast cancer to be hereditary she would carry one of the two rare faulty genes known to be responsible for hereditary breast cancer – BRCA1 or BRCA2; your mother would then have a 50 percent chance of inheriting that gene, although inheriting it would not mean that she would definitely get breast cancer.
When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, my oncologist was able to reassure me that my cancer wasn’t hereditary and other members of my largely female family were not at increased risk. It was random, like 90 – 95 percent of breast cancer cases.
Also, you don’t say at what age your grandmother was diagnosed; as with other cancers, breast cancer diagnosed after the age of 50 is less likely to be hereditary.

Certian types of cancers are hereditary. If your grandmother had it, then your mother and her female children should be screened for it on a regular basis. It doesn’t mean because grandma had it anyone else in her line will get it, it just means there is a higher percentile rate of it being passed down. Preventition is the best and smartest action you can take.

Cancer can’t survive in an alkaline system… have her consume more alkaline foods than acidic
